Rosario La Tremendita at Singulive Apollo
Rosario La Tremendita performs at Singulive Apollo as a cantaora born in Triana (Seville), who, in addition to standing out as a performer, takes on the roles of composer, producer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist (accompanying herself on guitar, electric bass, and percussion).
The specialized critics have recognized Rosario as one of the great renovators of contemporary flamenco and an icon of the new times of the jondo art. Since the beginning, she has dedicated herself to studying tradition always with respect but with a research and renovating desire, assimilating modern influences without losing her essence.
"A TIEMPO" (2010) was La Tremendita's first album and a great challenge. With her second work, "FATUM" (2012), she received her first nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards in the "Best Flamenco Album" category. "QASIDA" (2015) became her third album, a live concert with Iranian singer Mohamed Motamedi where La Tremendita was in charge of the musical direction, creating a sonic space and a dialogue between two cultures. In her fourth album, "DELIRIUM TREMENS" (2018), she received her second nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards in the "Best Flamenco Album" category. In this project, Rosario took her research curiosity a step further, exposing traditional flamenco singing to new sonic and harmonic environments, approaching jazz and electronic music.
